We started the whole process with an exchange of emails…….I told Margaret the basics of what I was looking for.  Colors, animals, icons, etc. were all considered.  She incorporated my ideas and requests into several “practice” designs while requesting my input the entire way.   Margaret was really patient with my inexperience, which I appreciated!  She gave me lots of suggestions and helpful tips (where has Wufoo been all my blogging life?!)  and set up my pages for me.  She made everything extremely user-friendly so that even a novice like me can find my way around my sites.  Margaret even found the perfect picture for me—-exactly what I had in mind!!   Overall the entire process was wonderful and I highly recommend Margaret’s work to anyone who needs a website makeover.  Check her out at W.A.I.S.T.Eed Space or on her facebook page….tell her I said hi!

Margaret at The world as I see it. I’m sure you notice my blog had some much need plastic surgery. This was all thanks to Margaret. She did a amazing job and I would recommend her to everyone that needs a new blog, web, or facebook design. She was SUPER understanding and a great person to work with (Fast, easy to communicate with). I am a super picky kind of person and a little pain in the butt about what I like and how I like it, with Margaret it was like she knew me for years and knew what I wanted. She made sure I was HAPPY and stayed up a few nights late trying to figure out and make things perfect for me. Every Email was answer fast, respectful and with patience. You can tell she LOVES, what she does and enjoys it. Her prices are VERY affordable.

Margaret did that and so much more! She took my logo and made it 100x better (You can actually read the words now!). From that and the basic colors I gave her, she made the background and side bars (did you see that Twitter/Facebook don’t overtake the side now? That’s thanks to Margaret!). She also made the signature you’ll now see at the bottom of every post and the blog button on the left.

Margaret also worked quite quickly. I literally asked her on a post Friday afternoon and had a whole new design by Saturday morning! She worked with what I had and did the extra needed to redo my logo (she had to go find the original piece of ClipArt I used and fix it from there). Margaret really listened to what I want and made it happen.   She is fantastic, helpful and quick!

Look around, what do you think? See all the wonder that is my site design? Well Margaret, over at The World As I See It did her magic around here again! She did the original site design at blogger and I loved it, so she was on the top of my to-do list when it came to the new site.
I have to admit, things did not go as smoothly as one hopes, but Margaret handled it extremely well. She brought over the designs I wanted and set it up incredibly well. I know for a fact that she was up a good chunk of the night working on it so it could be up and running as fast as possible. It looks like I want it to look and it happened because of her.

Flute It Up

Margaret and I sent e-mails back and forth for weeks.  She is absolutely amazing, if you can’t tell from my beautiful blog!  She grasped onto the style I wanted immediately and made everything work perfectly!  I now have an awesome banner, a button (which you may grab at any time), coolio headers on my 2 sidebars, and pretty little Twitter, Facebook, and E-mail icons!

Margaret was fabulous to work with.  In just a few words from me (being basically blog-beautifying-illiterate) she was able to make this amazing design.  I don’t know how she did it, and if she told me, I probably still wouldn’t understand.  Everything is EXACTLY how I imagined it.  I had always dreams of having a pretty blog and my own button and stuff, but I just figured I would have to wait until my blog was a little more well known.

Let me tell you about the process that we went through: We started off easy (well, I started off easy, she had a harder time because I only knew that I wanted my blog cleaned up, but hadn’t really, really decided WHAT else I wanted….however, I did know what I DIDN’T want….poor Margaret….). She sent me pics of things, and templates, and previews and had me look them over and tell her what I did or didn’t like (every time!) and then she would adjust accordingly. If you couldn’t tell from my description this far, the thing that impressed me the most about Miss Margaret was her complete sense of PATIENCE. If I didn’t like something, she changed it; If I didn’t get back to her right away, she just kept plugging away at; If I thought it was perfect, she continued in the same fashion. Her communication skills are great and I never felt like I was being left out to dry (so to speak) or interfering with her work. She answered all my questions and inquiries very promptly and was quick to make sure that I approved of where she was going with everything. Which, is a HUGE plus since I could not have made all these changes myself (without TONS more education in web design)!!

I do want to say something about our designer. I used Margaret from W.A.I.S.T.ed Space Designs and I have to say…I am SOOOO pleased! Not only were her design prices INSANELY reasonable, but she rocked it from day 1. From the very first email, it was quite easy to see that her only concern was getting the design the way I wanted it.  She sent test proof after test proof for me to approve or deny and even dealt with my “I’m not sure what I want…” type of thinking for a while. (LOL)

When it came time to install and upload the theme, she did all of the work herself, never leaving me on my own in an area that I’m not quite sure of. We tweaked and changed and re-colored and changed some more for over 2 hours that night and she never complained or got snarky once. She was right there, willing to do that it took to get it done and get it right. She is also providing any and all post-install support that I may need.

I was so pleased with the whole transaction that I immediately turned around and hired her to do a couple of buttons I need done for future things here on AIC. Yet again, she’s right on target with what I want and is going to after only what I want to make sure I’m pleased as a customer.
